UEFA President Ceferin and Slovenia Football Federation head, along with ex-pro players, landed in Uganda.
They’ll play against Uganda’s Parliament team on Monday, 12th February 2024, at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
Aleksander Ceferin, UEFA President, returned to Uganda on Sunday, February 11, 2024.
He arrived with Radenko Mijatovic, president of the Slovenia Football Federation, and other retired footballers.
They landed at Entebbe International Airport around 3:00 PM.
Hon. Peter Ogwang, Minister of Sports, welcomed Ceferin, just like during his last visit in March.
They were joined by other officials for a press briefing. Ceferin joked about being friends until the match kicks off on Monday.
Ceferin expressed his excitement to be back in Uganda and praised the country’s football projects and people.
Hon. Ogwang invited them to tour Uganda and promised to organize a meeting with the First Lady.
The delegation stayed at Serena International Hotel, Kampala, hosted by Deputy Rt. Hon. Thomas Tayebwa.
Their itinerary includes visiting football academies and playing the match at St Mary’s Stadium, Kitende.
On Tuesday, they’ll commission a training football ground in Masindi before departing on Wednesday, February 14, 2024.
