The Arab Contractors (Osman Ahmed Osman & Co.) have completed the Pallisa-Kaliro Road and bridge 11 months ahead of schedule, marking a significant achievement for the Uganda National Roads Authority (UNRA) and the country’s economy.
Stretching over 100 kilometers, the Pallisa-Kaliro Road is a vital route in Eastern Uganda, connecting the districts of Pallisa and Kaliro. The newly constructed road and bridge aim to enhance access to markets, healthcare, and education while also reducing accidents along the route.
A spokesperson for UNRA expressed excitement about the project’s completion, highlighting its potential to boost agricultural trade and investment in the region. The improved transportation of goods and services is expected to drive economic growth and development in the area.
The UNRA In-House Construction Supervision Team played a crucial role in ensuring the project’s success, collaborating closely with The Arab Contractors to oversee construction and ensure high standards were met.
