He said operatives tracked him down and arrested him in Masaka City.
“The operatives arrested Lukungu by building up on the intelligence they had gathered and tracked him down in Masaka City after about three days of active surveillance and later arrested along Edward Street in Masaka,” Enanga said.
He explained that on arrest and subsequent interrogation, Lukungu confessed to having participated in the robbery in Muyenga which he got shs12o million as his share of the loot.

His co-accused who among others include police officers have since been arraigned before the Chief Magistrates Court in Makindye on aggravated robbery charges and remanded to Luzira Prison.
Police last week told journalists that the plan to break into Nekesa’s home was orchestrated by a police guard who had stayed at the home for over a year and a half.
He would later get colleagues with whom he planned the heist by switching off the CCTV cameras to the house.
On the fateful day, the group entered the home at around 10pm and waited until 5am when they raided the maids’ quarters and forced them to enter the main house where they forced Nekesa to reveal where the money is kept.
Police said Nekesa reported that shs41 million belonging to her and shs2.2 billion belonging to her husband and businessman, Hajji Suleiman Lumolo was stolen during the robbery.
