The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) is set to unveil the results of the 2023 Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) on Thursday, February 15, 2024. This announcement is eagerly awaited by students, parents, and educators across the country.
A highly placed official within the Ministry of Education and Sports shared the news with The Prism Uganda, opting to stay anonymous as they were not authorized to speak publicly on the matter. The disclosure is set for 11 am at the prestigious State House Nakasero, marking a significant moment for the candidates who sat for the senior four exams last year.
In preparation for the release, UNEB is scheduled to conduct a briefing for the Minister of Education, detailing the performance overview of the students. This session aims to provide insights into the achievements and areas of improvement noted in the examination results.
This year’s UCE results announcement will be the second major release of national examination outcomes by UNEB for the academic period, following the earlier publication of the Primary Leaving Examination results.
Mr. Dan Odongo, the Executive Director of UNEB, is anticipated to share critical statistics during the release. These include the total number of candidates who sat for the exams versus those who registered, an analysis of the overall performance, and a breakdown of results by gender.
For immediate access to the results upon their release, stakeholders can utilize a dedicated SMS service. By typing the candidate’s full Index Number, preceded by “UCE” and followed by a space, and sending it to 6600, individuals can receive the results directly on their mobile phones.
The upcoming announcement is a moment of great anticipation for the UCE candidates and their supporters, marking the culmination of their hard work and dedication.
